Hello, I have started a blog about my daily life and adventures with Pickles (Hence the name). Yes, when you first start off reading the title you think that it is just about my daily life. However when you get to the end you start to wonder what does she exactly mean. What does adventures with Pickles mean? Well, I will tell you.
A couple days ago we adopted a dog from SPCA LA. We got a 2 year old poodle mix. She is a new addition to the family and after a few days she has started to get more conformable in our home. We named her Pickles.
So again, I have started this blog to write what I do during my day and my adventures with Pickles. I think this should be interesting and fun. So I guess I should start.
I am going to quickly sum up what has happened over the past three days. The first day was pretty slow. We had her spayed, so the first day she was recovering from her surgery. She laid around and did not have very much energy.
The second day however was different. We woke up and she was moving around. I took her out to go pee and she peed for the first time since she came to our house! Yay! She explored my house and found her favorite place to lay down. Under our kitchen table.
The third day we took her to the vet. She was very calm on the drive there. I think it is because she gets car sick. When we got there was a cat on the counter and and she started barking at her even the cat was like twice her size. Then, a big dog came out and they started going for each other. The nurse came out and called us in. After the appointment, we found out that we have to get Pickles to eat more so that she will gain three pounds. We also have to give her pills so that she will not get an infection. We also have to spray her cuts.
Beyond the cuts and the medicine, I love her with my whole heart and I am excited for the days to come. I will keep you updated, if there is someone reading this. Pictures yet to come.
Good start, sweetheart. I can tell you love Pickles very much. Love you.
